How does it work? The QUOTRON investment platform is designed for HNW individuals, IFAs and asset management firms. You will need to set up a retail or corporate trading account with Pepperstone. Then accept the terms of QUOTRON, upon which your account is traded using the trading signals of a professional quant trading firm. Trading signals are entry and exit signals. These signals will be transmitted from a professional CFD trading account and used in your account to make your trades. You are in effect automatically copying the trades of a professional quant firm with methodology and results commensurate with the likes of GSA, Quadrature, XTX Markets and Renaissance Technologies. As a client you are always in control of your trading account and funds. You can withdraw or add funds at anytime and you can always disengage from the QUOTRON trading signals at anytime. It might be useful to think of QUOTRON like a professional eToro. Instead of copying the trades of amateurs who trade on instinct and intuition, you are copying the trades of professionals who trade on data and probability. You can read the terms of engagement for QUOTRON here, including a breakdown of fees and charges.

What do you mean by 'Quant Trading Firm"?A quant trading firm is a professional trading company that uses vast quantities of granular data to analyse long periods of market activity in order to uncover and exploit an 'edge'. Quant trading firms do not take subjective stimulants into account when they trade. Their decision process is based purely on data and probability, as opposed to the retail trader who invariably acts on intuition and instinct. There are some famous quant trading firms like Renaissance Technologies who have been very influential in the advent of quantitative trading and the application of machine learning to exploit an 'edge'. Absolute QUANTS, our trade signallers, currently use over 500 trading days of per second granular price data to back-test and hone their algorithmic approach to risk mitigation in trading.
-
Are my trading account funds protected?Your trading account will be hosted by Pepperstone. They are authorised and regulated by the FCA. Please refer to their terms and conditions with respect to your trading account funds.
-
How do the companies involved make money?Pepperstone, as an execution only brokerage, generate revenue from trading activity. They charge for spread bets or trades via spreads. London & Eastern, as investment managers will charge a management fee plus a share of any upside generated in your trading account. Absolute QUANTS as trade signallers and strategists will charge London & Eastern a percentage of their fees. You will see a fee structure that is simple to understand. Depending on your circumstances and application approvals you may need to take into account that 30% of any upside generated in your account will be paid out in fees. Any upside generated in your personal spread betting account could be tax free. The majority of fees only come into effect if the equity value of your trading account rises. You can read the terms of engagement for the QUOTRON investment platform here, including a breakdown of fees and charges.
-
Will I see immediate returns?Perhaps yes, perhaps not. Our trading signals are based on vast quantities of data and feed our probability calculations. You may initially see a run of profitable days or you may see a run of loss days. Either way, the algorithmic trading signals that place your trades are fine tuned to generate returns over mid-to-long term periods. A fair evaluation of returns would be to look at your equity value every quarter to ascertain whether the QUOTRON investment platform is right for you. There are of course no guarantees that past performance will be replicated in future performance.
-
What markets will my account trade?Your account will trade the US30 or 'Dow Jones Industrial Average'. This may change automatically at the discretion of our signal providers as and when their algorithms detect opportunities in other financial markets.
-
Can I open a corporate trading account?Yes. You can apply for a corporate CFD account with Pepperstone. Spread betting accounts are not available to corporate customers due to their tax free status. Simply request a corporate trading account when you are introduced to Pepperstone. Our trading signals will be copied into your account in real time for execution into the markets.
-
How long do you hold positions for?Absolute QUANTS use machines to algorithmically place their trades. The resultant entry and exit signals are then copied into your trading account. All you will see are the buy and sell signals. Behind the scenes of each entry and exit signal there are thousands of algorithms at work. Determining when, according to probability, to enter and exit a trade. Currently Absolute QUANTS never hold overnight positions and average 8 trades per trading day. As their algorithms evolve, any modifications will be automatically replicated in the signals provided to your trading account.
-
What if the markets go down?Absolute QUANTS, our trade signaller, use set ups that are perfectly market neutral. It makes no difference if the markets go up or down as long as there is momentum. The Absolute QUANTS algorithms get to work in both bull and bear market cycles.
-
